ADAM WEISHAUPT
Nato il 6 febbraio 1748, rimase senza padre all'età di cinque anni.
Il barone Johann Adam von Ickstatt (de) (1702–1776) l'allievo, lo mandò al collegio dei gesuiti di Ingolstadt nel 1755, dove le sue predisposizioni lo resero rapidamente un allievo brillante e promettente.
Mostrando abbastanza presto uno spiccato gusto per gli autori classici, è la visione di alcuni di essi (in particolare Cicerone), come trasmessa dai gesuiti, che Weishaupt rifiuterà successivamente.
All'età di quindici anni iniziò gli studi accademici (giurisprudenza, scienze politiche, storia e filosofia).
